Weddings: Wedding Favors

Many people underestimate wedding favors and just how much work can go into them; as a consequence they are often left until the last minute to organize. As a rule of thumb when organizing events, keep things simple as they have a habit of becoming complicated without any human intervention. This is a part of the arrangements, like the guest list and seating arrangement that will often cause unnecessary stress when there doesn't have to be any.

If all other options fail you can always choose the easy wedding favor of flowers which can also decorate the reception at the same time. Owing to the nature of flowers, they can usually be left until later in the preparations which means the bride and groom will have less to worry about.

Many people who choose flowers decide on a single red rose for each guest as a symbol of their love. You can simply purchase one for each guest and have a member of the catering staff, a friend or family member place one rose across each place setting after the tables have been set for the wedding reception.

About 75 percent of people will use candy as it is an easy wedding favor that always pleases which can be simply presented in a box. I like the idea that a number of receptions have started to use where the costly centerpiece is done away with completely. This can be accomplished by using large bowls filled with different types of candy as the centerpieces on each table.

You can then provide each wedding guest with a small bag and a note encouraging them to enjoy the candy in the centerpiece. Of course this means that you won't have to wrap anything yourself but it should get the thumbs up from everyone.

To give your guests something they can keep why not leave a small picture frame on the table. Whilst this is a great idea for a wedding favor gift it is only easy to do if you can present it without having to wrap it. By using the picture frames as placeholders provides a way around this, making it a gift that does not need to be wrapped.

For those of you that like an easy wedding favor that is a little different then why not use a local photographer, you can have each guest pose for a shot which can be presented to them at the wedding reception. If he brings along a printer you can distribute the photos before your guests begin to leave the reception. Everyone will appreciate this wedding favor as it is a reminder they can cherish for many years. Many photographers will also have a projector so could arrange a looping slide show of all the photos he had taken of the guests.
