The Spirit at Temple House - Part 1

I had first heard about the paranormal activity at Temple House from another ghost hunting team that I have regular correspondence with. They had told us of their investigation they had carried out weeks previously, and had produced some very interesting results. They wanted to go back there in a few months to continue their investigation. They asked me if I was interested in taking a look into the house, as another team verifying what they had found could be more effective. My interest had peaked, so I got my team together and we went to the location to see what it had in store for us.

The building itself was very old, and had been built in the early nineteenth century, originally as a home for a local dignitary. Although the outside looked like a building that had been standing around for many years, the interior was newly furnished, as offices, and top of the range equipment.

Our parapsychologist Dr. Katherine Copeland had carried out various tests throughout the building, however, nothing out of the ordinary had turned up on the Gauss meter or on the thermometer. She had warned that the electromagnetic fields around the building, due to the electrical equipment there, would interfere with our tests. In these circumstances, it was decided that the Gauss meter would be useless for taking any measurements.

Our spiritual medium Annabel Keogh tried to contact and spirits that may be around the building. This is where things began to get very interesting for the team.

She had picked up on the name 'Alice Carruthers'. This is the name that the previous team had picked up on also. She was a girl who had been working at the house as a maid to the original owner. Apparently she had become pregnant by the owners son after a brief affair. Instead of and help and support, she was pushed down some stairs by the son, who saw this situation as embarrassing and worried about his standing in the community.

The team agree that we would carry out our investigation around the stairs after Ann had informed us that she felt no other presences in this building and that Alice was causing all the paranormal activity in a bid to let the living know she was there. Ann also said that she would help the young female spirit find her way to the other side when the investigation was over. With that in mind we set up the equipment and waited to see what the night had in store.
