Coffee shops are offered in many sizes and designs, but all of them have some great features. Or at least they should have them if they want to keep a steady stream of customers coming in. The hours of service are very important because people want to enjoy their coffee when it works for them. The most popular time for it though is in the morning before people go to work. If you aren't opening the doors of your coffee shop around 5 am you are likely missing out on many potential customers. Think about the people that work around the coffee shop. For example if there are factories there may be people working late at night that want to access coffee during their shift as well. There is no compromising when it comes to the issue of offering quality coffee at your business. Customers need to know that what they get will always be fresh, hot, and delicious. They want to make sure the money they spend at your coffee shop is worth it. If you aren't offering them the best tasting coffee then they will find another coffee shop that can. Even if that location costs them a little bit more they will see the added value in it. How fast is your service? Most people are very impatient and they aren't going to wait around very long for coffee to be served. It doesn't matter if they walk in or they are going through the drive up. They may accept an occasional delay but if you aren't operating with enough manpower to keep up with it all then you can be losing customers. Many people are on a time schedule as well and they can't wait even if they want to. At the same time your staff needs to be very friendly to your customers. They need to greet each one with a smile. If they are regular customers they may already know what they want and how they like it. People love that type of personalized customer service. Make sure all of your staff members look presentable and that hygiene is something they pay attention to before they come to work. Make sure your customers don't feel rushed when they come to your coffee shop either. They should be able to relax and enjoy their coffee. Many people go to a coffee shop so they can unwind instead of drinking it at home. Make sure they have the ability to do that while they are in your business. You can easily have an amazing coffee shop that people will love to visit. Make sure you don't cut corners and lose these essential elements though. Do your very best to make sure your goals are in place and your staff is dedicated to helping you meet them. If they aren't you will need to get other people to work for you. This means going out of your way to offer them a pleasant experience. Find ways to really personalize your service. Continue to be consistent with your style so they will know what to expect when they come to your coffee shop. This way your business will always be the one they come to for their coffee needs.
