Rubber Stampers: The Many Advantages of A Plastic Rubber Stamp

Plastic rubber stamps are a newer variation on the tradition rubber mounts used for stamping. They offer many advantages, and are worth taking a look at, especially if you're interested in working with larger images, such as borders. The stamp picture itself is still fabricated of rubber, but instead of wood, you can find a large scope of rubber stamps with plastic blocks.

Plastic rubber stamps are easy to use. They are normally clear, unlike wooden-mounted rubber stamps, where you don't actually recognise exactly where you are laying them. That's an annoyance when you are seeking to construct a stamped picture,or other more elaborate looks when you don't want to have layers and layers of paper and card.

Plastic rubber stamps are also comfortable to manipulate. They are generally clear, contrary to wooden-mounted rubber stamps, where you don't actually make out exactly where you are positioning them. That can be a hassle when you are attempting to build a stamped picture, or when you don't want to have layers and layers of paper and card cluttering up your image.

You can accomplish a more natural design, as if the images were always there, with plastic rubber stamps, because you can see precisely where the image goes. That makes blocking out certain areas especially easy. In fact, being able to see and apply your images clearly will take your rubber stamping to a whole new level.

They are also a much easier than wooden stamps to clean. The ink doesn't come through to the plastic in the style that it does with the wooden mounts. It will also wipe off easily, giving you a clean image every time, uncontaminated from additional dye or pigment ink . Likewise, the plastic does not need as drying as wooden mounts do, so with a fast wipe, your plastic rubber stamps are ready to use again.

That means you can change colours on a plastic rubber stamp much more easily and readily as you can with a wooden-mounted rubber stamp - which adds greater versatility to your rubber stamping, as well as speed. Just imagine the possibilities of being able to use the same plastic rubber stamp in different colours in one session!

Once you've tried plastic rubber stamps you'll be hooked on a whole new area of possibilities for your rubber stamping. If you haven't yet, make the switch and give these plastic blocks a shot. You're stamp will take on a whole new look.
