If you have already proven yourself to be a good salesperson, there is no reason you cannot advance yourself beyond your own efforts. Start training other salespeople on what you do. If your sales trainees are successful, that means you are ready for this next step in your life. If you have sold a lot of product and services or a long period of time, it will be much more to your advantage not put yourself back on the street. You would do well, but then you would not be training others for sales and helping them. Of course, no one should be training other salespeople until you have proven yourself to be a good salesperson. Other salespeople will not respect your nor learn from you. But, if you have take your time to develop a good sales history, there is no need to stay a single salesforce. You can instead multiply your efforts by taking on students for your methods of sales. Please remember it is urgent that you always continue to improve yourself as a sales manager, to always look for the best methods for your salespeople to use, and to make sure they have the best tools you can dream up. And why? Aren't you really still in sales? Now you are selling your products and services and yourself to your salespeople.
