Decorating Ideas for your Bed & Breakfast

Many owners of bed & breakfast locations want to make some changes but they don't have too much money to put into the projects. That doesn't have to stop you from really getting a great look that you want though. All it takes is some shopping around, some basic ideas, and the willingness to try out new things.

Most of us have changed the curtains in our home from time to time to get a new look. There is no reason why you can't do the same thing for your bed & breakfast. Take a look at what is one sale in the off season clearance and put them away. Then you will always have plenty of nice looking curtains that fit your windows.

Do your walls look bare? How about adding some new dimensions by placing wall border in there? Think about the theme you want and then measure how much you will need of it to complete the project. Painting is a common way to freshen up and improve the look of your bed & breakfast. Choose your colors wisely so they will blend well with each other. Fresh or silk flowers are always a good choice and you can never go wrong with the colors you choose. Look for unique vases to display them inside of. Put them on shelves or countertops in order to brighten up the various rooms at your bed & breakfast. You may want to use silk flowers so you can change the look based on the seasons.

Handmade quilts look very nice on the beds you offer your guests as well. You may want to take up these skills on your own. You can also buy them from a craft show for a good price. If you know someone that makes quilts for a hobby, you can ask them to make what you need and negotiate a fair price with them.

You can also experiment on your own and come up with great looks that will be very original. Take your time to compare prices on what supplies you need to keep your prices as low as you can.
