Although bath time can be synonymous with play time for children you should limit use of the bath and the shower. Try to use a child-size bath for younger children rather than the full-size one in your bath room.

Teeth brushing is another area that's ripe for water-saving advice. Tell your kids to close the faucet in the middle of brushing and just fill up a small cup with water when gargling.

In order to help control the cost of your utility bills, the kids need to be involved in working towards efficiency. It is always helpful when a child becomes responsible at an early age, as he or she will carry this teaching with them to adulthood. Parents should also realize that maintaining a household is basically a team effort and all of the family members should play their part.
